BankUnited Center.

lead at 50-48 on Ian Miller’s 3-pointer with 4:36 to play. Brown

Jordan
McRae led the way with 21 points and Josh Richardson added 15 points
for Tennessee (11-5, 2-1), which defeated Auburn at home for the ninth
consecutive time and sixth straight overall.
The
Vols, who haven’t lost to Auburn since 2009, also got 14 points and 14
rebounds from Jarnell Stokes - part of a 42-28 advantage on the glass -
and 11 points each from Jeronne Maymon and Antonio Barton.

eight assists) and Sebastian Saiz (20 points on 8-of-11 shooting) were
fantastic for Mississippi (11-5, 2-1 SEC). Henderson, the SEC’s
second-leading scorer, hit 6-of-12 3-pointers after coming into the game
sixth in the conference in long-range shooting at 39 percent.
LSU
(10-5, 1-2), which was led by Andre Stringer’s 23 points, had a chance
to win the game in regulation, but Anthony Hickey missed a jumper as
time expired. Mississippi scored the first 11 points of overtime.
Texas A&M 75, South Carolina 67
The Aggies finished the game on a 24-12 run to stay unbeaten at 3-0 in SEC play.
A&M
(12-4) came into the game 12th in the conference in shooting, but
didn’t look it Wednesday. The Aggies made 55 percent of their shots,
including 65 percent (10-of-16) in the second half.
Jamal
Jones had a game-high 22 points to lead A&M, which was last in the
SEC in scoring, but scored it most points since an 88-55 win over
Arkansas-Pine Bluff on November 26.
South Carolina (7-9, 0-3), which got 14 points from Brenton Williams, lost its 12th consecutive road game.
Clemson 56, Virginia Tech 49
K.J. McDaniels had 14 points and Rod Hall added 11 as the Tigers started 3-1 in ACC play for the first time since 2009-2010.
Virginia
Tech made just 4-of-14 free throws and only 41 percent of its field
goal attempts in falling to 1-3 in conference play and 8-8 overall.
Clemson (12-4) won in Blacksburg for the first time since January, 2009.
Alabama 80, Mississippi State 61
Trevor
Releford scored 28 points on 10-of-13 shooting, including a 6-of-9
performance from three-point range as the Crimson Tide cruised at home.

(8-8, 2-1 SEC) made 10-of-25 3-pointers and 52 percent of its field
goals attempts in handing Mississippi State (11-5, 1-2) its 11th
consecutive road defeat.
For
the Crimson Tide,
Shannon Hale added 12 points, Retin Obasohan had 11 and Rodney Cooper
came off the bench to contribute 10 points.
Gavin Ware scored 18 points to pace the visiting Bulldogs.
Maryland 74, Notre Dame 66
The host Terps erased a nine-point halftime deficit to improve to 3-2 in ACC play.
Maryland
trailed 34-25 at the break, but scored the first eight points of the
second half to get within one point, and Seth Allen’s 3-pointer put the
Terps up for good at 39-36 with 12:09 to play.
Notre
Dame (10-7, 1-3) got as close as 43-41 on a bucket by Demetrius Jackson
with nine minutes to play before Dez Wells had five of his team-high 17
points during a 9-2 run for Maryland (11-7, 3-2).
For
the Fighting Irish, who were playing in College Park for the first time
since December, 1986, Pat Connaughton tallied 19 points, though just
four came after halftime.
Wake Forest 70, N.C. State 69
Codi Miller-McIntyre converted a lay up with four seconds left in the Demon Deacons’ home victory.
Wake
Forest (12-5, 2-2 ACC) led 68-65 with 1:30 remaining before Anthony
Barber hit a jumper and Desmond Lee knocked down a pair of free throws
with 10 seconds to go that gave the Wolfpack (11-6, 1-3) a 69-68
advantage.
While
both teams shot well in the opening half - N.C. State made 51 percent
of its shots and Wake hit 53 percent - the Demon Deacons stayed hot in
the second half (55 percent), but State went cold and made only 7-of-24
field goals over the final 20 minutes.
Wake won its 12th consecutive home game.
